You must be desperate or a blood relative...

Given that we haven't posted in literally months, if you're reading this, I hope your day gets much better because you must be extremely bored... either that or you're closely related to us. Or perhaps you're really techy and this just showed up on your RSS feed for the first time in months.

Anyway, much has happened since we last wrote.

Several visitors, another camping trip to the south coast, and lots of BBQ'ing on the roof - most notably for the 4th of July. Of course, a fair bit of work crammed in as well.

Today we're headed off for our second annual European vacation. Last year you may recall was Eastern Europe; this year... ITALY.

Before you eat dinner tonight we should be in Lake Como. Monday and Tuesday nights we should be at Santa Chiara (A&M's campus in Italy which used to be a nunnery... only problem=no a/c.). Wednesday will be an excursion to Rome. Thurs-Sat we'll be back at Santa Chiara and Sunday night we'll be in Geneva. It will be a fair bit of travelling, but we're looking forward to: 1) Driving. 2) Driving on the right side of the road. 3) Gelatto. 4) Not going to work for 10 days. 5) Spending time together. 6) Sunshine. 7) a bit of history. 8) the Colliseum. 9) reliving Bree's memories from the summer of '99. 10) Italian food.

Plus, then we'll be able to relate a bit better to the temperatures that you guys are going through - but just remember even though it's only 95 in London, we don't have the benefit of AC. My office only has AC if the temperature is less than 80 - above that then it overheats and shuts down.

We'll keep you posted if we get a chance, otherwise we guarantee an update and a picture upon our return.

You know, I was just about to write a scathing comment about the lack of posts. But, it looks like your shame got the better of you. (It looks like I am the type that is last in your list, though some might call me desperate)

Glad to hear that all is well. Italy is a fine place, but our experience is only in Venice, so I can't vouch for much more of the nation.

I love the english at a BBQ. They are so cute, not really sure how to handle themselves or how to apply BBQ sauce properly. That and those cool disposable fire pit things. Good times.

Keep them comming!

I think I am desparate. :) I have a link to you on my blog, so I check it every once in a while.

Glad to have an update! Your trip sounds like fun and we look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

I'm sorry for the delay in my posting, however, i have spent the past couple of days in deep meditation and reevaluating what is really important in life. Last week i was feeling sorry for myself over, what i now realize to be, petty issues. But to find out that my brother-in-law doesn't have conditioned air in his little bitty office has brought me to tears. I haven't been able to sleep the past two nights, hoping and praying that they have air conditioning in Lake Como and Santa Chiara, Italy and surely the good Lord wouldn't make the Pope sweat it out without A/C.

I have put a small donation made out to the Bank of America - London A/C Fund in the mail and i challenge other readers to do the same so that my brother-in-law will never have to go without A/C again.

I too am glad to see the new posting - although I just talked to my favorite cousin this week! I know that you will have a wonderful time in Italy - surely Florence is on that list of stops. Beautiful - my absolute favorite.

As for the brother-in-law who is in distress over the A/C....I am happy to hear that he is reevaluating his priorities, however, I want to hear his definition of meditating. And for all readers thinking of making a contribution to the A/C Fund '06 - I think I would mail the check directly to M&B, not the account mentioned --- sounds a bit shady.

See how many people depend on the updating of your blog? --another desperate relative

I am a relative, but I am certainly not desperate. Unless you can count being in a classroom with 28 convicts, no air conditioning, windows screwed shut for security reasons, and the heater suddenly, but regularly, coming on.
Love ya'll
