Since nobody else...
I've been monitoring blogs all week. Since nobody else on my readership list has posted recently, I'm taking the hit and doing so myself.
Would you believe that when I check the weather in the morning when I get to work, it's the same temperature in London as it is in Texas?
You know the feeling of starting all over with a fresh slate, like the start of the new semester? Well, starting a new job sort of feels the same way... only you're a little bit less focused on what you'll do in the evenings as what you'll be doing during the days. And strangely, there's no syllabus passed around to tell you all of the deadliens and test dates. And there's no textbook.
Other than that, it's roughly similar - I guess getting a paycheck makes up for the other uncertainties.
My new workplace has a different nationality mix than the last - probably 1/3 Americans, 1/3 Brits, and 1/3 other. Should allow me to feel at home, while still getting the benefits of being in the great cultural hub of London. Actually, a lot of people over here like working for an American bank... I guess because stuff gets done more quickly.
Anyway, that's all I got.

Matt - glad all is well with the new job. I know what you mean about starting over. I am teaching freshman English this year after 6 years of sophomores and it is a whole different ballgame. Unfortunately, I don't think that my paycheck is really making that big of a difference! Oh, but I do it all for the kids in the Lubbock public school system -- and it does help that I enjoy it! :)

I almost had heart failure when I saw 2 NEW POSTS! I thought bloggerdom was coming to an end lately. Speaking of college life, dad had the recurring nightmare called - I'm supposed to be in my college class right now and I can't find it - KJ
