Have no fear...the soup champion is here!

Some of you (mostly my relatives) are usually concerned about mine and Matt's eating habits...mostly becuase they know I don't really cook. Well, put your worries aside, because this past weekend, Matt took home first prize in the Second Annual Wandsworth Soup Cook-off. Quite an impressive feat. The winning soup? French Onion with roast beef and melted cheese on little toasts.
As a couple, we also were informally pronounced "Most Improved Soup-Cookers", given that the soup we entered last year (made by yours truluy) took home last place.

Well done and congratulations! I think I know who will be doing the cooking over the holidays! And thank goodness - I believe it was to be Brandon & Jess's turn this year. Although, I think it would have been McDonald's gift certificates for all if they were in charge! :) Oh, those of you at Christmas '04 know what I am talking about.

Congrats, congrats! Your mom told me about the concoction and it sounded quite good. Had lunch with her the other day at Lakeside (St. Mary's Hospital). It was good to see family. Hope you and Matt are doing well!

There are kids starving in Africa and you choose to make whimsical comments pertaining to gifts that provided enough of the McDonald's delicasies to feed an entire Sudanese tribe. I hope you two girls are proud of yourself....meanwhile, I will speak to Cousin Brandon about redirecting our goodwill towards the African tribesmen and women that will appreciate the sicerity of our generous gift-giving abilities.
That's all for now.
I am fabulously impressed. So much so that I want the recipe for your most delicious sounding soup. Well done. Hope to see you soon. :)
