Auditing humour
It’s update time again… we certainly have settled into our life over here and find that there are fewer observations regarding being a fish in a new pond. To be honest, our life is – like most of yours – reduced to at least a level of routine. The upcoming disruption to that routine is a trip to Budapest. Yes, the flight has been booked; we are going. Don’t ask us what we’re going to do while we’re there – we haven’t figured that out yet. But the Rough Guide to Hungary has been obtained from the library and now occupies a perch on our bookshelf.
We know for the most part what is required of us at work – which for me has included more travel opportunities/obligations than we’d initially expected. Bree’s been able to come along a couple times now and we’re considering working for a hotel someday because she’s decided she likes the prospect of living in a room with daily maid service and breakfast prepared by someone else.
Beyond that, we remain quite occupied down the street at the church. We were quite interested to read your takes on Katrina, though we’d still like to hear more.
In fact, it seems that most of the adventure is in other people’s lives right now… congratulations to the many cousins dropping like flies and running for the altar. We won’t name you here – to avoid spilling your news. Unfortunately, none of you seem to cater to our needs, which are quite simple really: 1) Get married in London or 2) Get married during the week in between Christmas and New Years. Due to this poor planning, it will be difficult for us to join you in person at your celebration, which creates now an obligation that you broadcast your nuptials on the web. We wish you great happiness despite this initial oversight.
Also, we are proud to welcome our new cousin Jae;, we can attest to LJ’s ability to say hello when he so chooses; happy to hear WS’s strong voice; excited for TheSharester’s new job and life in SA, despite car troubles; and proud to announce the most successful week in my fam’s athletic prowess in recent memory, excluding of course my recent performance in the softball match.
Speaking of TheSharester, in her honour, here is a humorous quote to end on, perhaps as humorous as they come in the auditing world:
“You can’t avoid risk. If you stay in bed, you have the risk of bedsores.”

Hey! I admit that I am one of the cousins who is dropping like flies- the wedding is over, so there will be no webcast, but the pictures are all up! Hope you guys got a chance to look at them. Oh, and what luck! I think once Jess, oops, "Anonymous" finds Miss Right, he is really set on a destination wedding, so London it is! Can we all stay with you two??
Christy
Destination wedding? Yes. London? No. Svetlana and I flipped a ruble, she called ГОЛОВАs and I called ХВОСТs...it was ГОЛОВАs. So it looks like we're gettin' hitched in Moskow.
See you at the Kremlin!
its "Moscow" i do believe...anywho am i involved in the athletic prowness? i do belive i am! yay!

My apologies - in english it is Moscow, however, Svetalana was quick to point out that she would appreciate us refering to her home as Mockba.
By the way, it's prowess, not prowness.
All in good humor, I am
Sincerely Yours.
