July, August, September...

By posting today, we have avoided the blogging notoriety of not posting for 3 full months. Surely 3 months is when a blog is declared extinct.

But how do we even begin to recount 2.5 months... it might go something like this:

4th of July BBQ at our house
4th of July Picnic at the park
Bree leaves Matt all alone and working hard (how many miles did she cover? she probably saw 3 dozen relatives)
Bree comes back and Matt is still working hard
We test out our Christmas present tent during a weekend at the Peak District, feeding sheep as well as standing on the very same ridge featured in Pride and Prejudice
Our dear Aggie neighbors moved back home, where they are settling nicely in H-town. Sadly, this means fewer impromptu game nights. Happily, we inherited many new kitchen items.
Matt leaves Bree all alone and working hard (Matt becomes a godfather?!)
Matt comes back and Bree is still working hard
Somewhere in the world, a cousin is born into the darkness of a Raider household (dark, but loving).
We explored the southwestern most point of England, aptly named Land's End. We didn't test the theory but allegedly there's no more land between there and the great land of America. We swam... for 15 minutes... and ate loads of incredibly nice meals (including cream teas) with our Australian friends.
Church picnic in the park
Soup cookoff (our attempt to defend our title was the best soup to ever be cooked in our house, but nobody would vote for us out, presumably out of jealousy. Crab-avocado bisque, coming to a potluck near you sometime in the next decade).

In the midst of all that, we hosted about a dozen visitors - most of whom we hadn't seen in a long, long time, and some of whom we'd never met before! Certainly makes home feel a lot closer when you only go 2 or 3 weeks at at time in between seeing friends.

And just this week, Bree started a new job, which means that for 2 days in a row we've been home in time to cook dinner, eat dinner, and think about what one does with the evening hours. It's relaxing!

Now the fall is here. Believe it or not, we don't have any trips on the horizon (besides coming home at Christmas). We're working up the motivation to start running again and will be looking forward to "watching" the Aggies play this year.

How is everyone out there? Anybody still check this link?

I'm confused - what happened to the newlyweds...I remember their wedding like it was yesterday - it was like I was there...for 3 months.
